Method: Casting

Precision casting and investment casting are applied to gain castings with the highest dimension accuracy, complex geometry and the best surface quality. Depending on the material, the complete quantity and the shape of the casting, the appropriate cast method is selected after economical aspects. 
Castings can be produced with a mass of 0,001 up to several kilograms.

A great advantage of these methods is that the parts readily casted are as a rule ready for installation. It can be regarded as a rule of thumb, that precision casting and investment casting are especially economical, the more complicated the component is designed or the more the finishing is extensive.
